Bronzeberry

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 164 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous narrow, crooked stems covered in ridged, black bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with thick bunches of large, stiff, pointed, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are lilac and lime, rigid and clammy.

It produces copious amounts of giant, bronze flowers with flame-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like pepper. In late winter it forms medium-sizedazure berries.

It is suitable for making strong rope
