Emerald

This gray moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests, In moorlands, and In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is slightly flimsy.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
