Bluefruit Tree

This big fruit tree grows up to 44 feet (13.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 16 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in silky, light brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with handfuls of huge, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are moss green with sky blue tips.

In early spring, it produces many small, black blossoms with spear shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like meat.

In late summer it produces small, slender, 6 pointed fruit. The soft amber skin is thick and sweet, and the very soft vibrant green flesh is slightly salty and very juicy. The crimson seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
