Bronzeberry
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This huge shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for around 20 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has many branched, crooked stems covered in delicate, silky, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.
The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, broad, flat, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid bronze with light brown patches, tough and smooth.
It produces dozens of large, deep purple flowers with finger-like petals. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like freshly washed clothes. In late spring it forms smallgentle orange berries.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
