Bloodbloom

This large shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 141 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several stocky, straight stems covered in waxy, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of tiny, very narrow and elongated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of red that gradient shifts to cyan at the top, delicate and crispy.

In mid-summer it produces copious amounts of large, blood red flowers with finger-like petals. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like sweat.
