Brown Flame Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very frail; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
