Crimsonvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 23 feet (7.0 meters) and growing as high as 29 feet (8.8 meters).

It takes 3 months for the bold blue or sky blue stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The stiff, pointed, leathery leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are a shade of red that gradient shifts to crimson at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces lots of giant olive flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a handful of tiny fruits.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
The sap is pink.
