Bluebell

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 narrow stems. Each stem is blue, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible grey spines. The wedge-shaped body is blood red, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, brown, hair-like spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 6 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with turquoise petals on the lower layer and copper petals decorated with violet dots on the inner layer. The central disk is cyan grows at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 26 petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like pineapple.

The cactus's skin is thick, the azure flesh is rubbery, and the beige sap is thin.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
