Crimson Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The very thick stem is caramel, and is covered in handfuls of fine, brown, hair-like spines. The jagged-edged, needle-like leaves are solid crimson with amber patches. Copious amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are flimsy, but take some effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are crimson on the edges and amber at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the olive flesh is smooth, and the hazel sap is thin.
