Violetvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 692 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in thick, rough, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is light brown.

The tangled mess of branches are very long and thin and are covered with large amounts of soft, small, asymmetrical leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are slate and pastel yellow.

In late summer it forms giant, purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
