Amberbell

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This massive caudiciform grows up to 24 feet (7.3 meters) tall. The very thin stem is moss green, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid amber spines. The straight, bronze trunk can grow to as much as 24 feet (7.3 meters) in diameter at the bottom. Its orange and dark grey branches are very short, thin and wispy and start growing at the top the stem.

The large amounts of smooth-edged, circular leaves are slate and pastel yellow. They are light, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are crimson on the edges and amber at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like meat.

The caudiciform's skin is tough, the cream flesh is rubbery, and the aquamarine sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
