Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is red, and is covered in large amounts of flexible yellow spines. The tattered-edged, needle-like leaves are gold and blood red. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are delicate, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 15 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid white petals and a bronze central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 6 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a strong scent that smells like something putrid.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the black flesh is rough, and the purple sap is thin.

It can survive a long time without water.
The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
