Silvervine
Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its silver stem is very thick, and the miniature, green leaves are thin with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Hundreds of small flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 15 cm (5.9 inches) wide, with alternating petals of lime and yellow, with a gold central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.
It has an intensely strong scent that smells like pot-purri, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to insects.
The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
