Caramel

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 18 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in thick, ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is dark brown.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with handfuls of small, thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of red that gradient shifts to blue at the top.

In early spring, it produces lots of giant, caramel blossoms with slender, pointed petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like a damp log.

In mid-autumn it produces small, finger-like fruit. The fuzzy light grey skin is peel-able and spicy, and the very soft bronze flesh is spicy and juicy. The beige seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
