Amberberry

This large fruit tree grows up to 33 feet (10.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 56 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in thick, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is yellow.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of small, oval-shaped leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are amber on the edges and turquoise at the center.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of medium-sized, lime blossoms with broad, flat petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like chocolate.

In mid-autumn it produces tiny, broad, flat fruit. The fuzzy blood red skin is delicate and inedible, and the very soft white flesh is bitter and oily. The olive seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
