Peach Blossom
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This big flower grows up to 2.7 feet (81 cm) tall. Its brown stem is wispy, and the small, moss green leaves are slender, pointed with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.
5 to 8 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 50 cm (19.7 inches) wide, with petals that are generally peach; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They are sturdy.
It has an overpowering scent that smells like bonfire smoke, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
