Cinnamon Willow

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 22 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, slanted stems covered in thick, silky, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, very thick, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are orange-yellow with deep red tips, frail and waxy.

In early summer it produces a thick sheet of large, blue flowers with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like cinnamon.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
