Emerald

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas On trees.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very resilient.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
