Redvine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 31 feet (9.4 meters) and growing as high as 733 feet (223.4 meters).

It takes 4 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The asymmetrical, clammy leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are either red, or cream with florescent purple splotches, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces dozens of small bronze flowers.
