Bloodvine
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 35 feet (10.7 meters) tall. The thick stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The jagged-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are peach and blood red. Small bunches of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are hardy, but are very difficult to pull away.
It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with grey petals that gradient shift to lilac on the outer edge. The central disk is washed-out purple grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like pine needles.
The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the violet flesh is slimy, and the black sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
