Blackvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big shrub grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 200 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in delicate, knobbly, black bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches trail down across the ground that and are covered with thick bunches of giant, pleated, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are green with pale yellow tips, flexible and smooth.

In late summer it produces dozens of giant, orange flowers with shield-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like musk.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
