Blueberry Succulent

This short caudiciform grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. The stumpy, brown trunk can grow to as much as 9 feet (2.7 meters) in diameter. Its yellow branches are short and thin.

The ripped-edged, very thick leaves are slate and sky blue. They are resistant, but detach easily.

It is quick growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid copper petals decorated with white lines and a pink central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like warm cookies.

The caudiciform's skin is tough, the purple flesh is waxy, and the azure sap is thin.
