Cream Moss

This cream moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands, On rotten logs, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is slightly robust.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.
