Amberfruit

This giant fruit tree grows up to 55 feet (16.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 53 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the light wood is white.

The abundance of branches are long and thick and are covered with handfuls of miniature, wispy leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are pastel orange at the bottom and drab green with purple patches at the top.

In early spring, it produces many large, amber blossoms with 2 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like a man.

In late summer it produces , slender, 8 pointed fruit. The waxy bold blue skin is stretchy and inedible, and the very soft brown flesh is sweet and sticky. The dark green seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
