Amberleaf

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 90 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous very thick, slanted stems covered in thick, waxy, yellow bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, sickle shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in azure, yellow and drab green varieties, robust and crispy.

In late summer it produces several tiny, light brown blossoms with 5 cylindrical shaped petals. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like warm cookies.

In mid-autumn tiny stiff, pointed fruits ripen. The waxy amber skin is tough and spicy and salty, and the soft amber flesh is slightly spicy and powdery. The crimson seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
