Mystic Blue Vine

This colossal vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,207 feet (672.7 meters) and growing as high as 600 feet (182.9 meters).

It takes 18 years for the gray and dark brown stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.4 feet (43 cm) and are rough and woody.

The thick, sticky leaves reach up to 3.8 feet (1.2 meters) in length. They are solid violet with pastel blue lines, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a handful of giant indigo flowers.
