Crimson Succulent

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 21 feet (6.4 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 5 stiff, pointed stems. Each stem is red, and is covered in hundreds of fine, brown, hair-like spines.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with silver petals and an intense orange central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the cyan flesh is slimy, and the brown sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
