Violetvine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 17 feet (5.2 meters) and growing as high as 27 feet (8.2 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.
It takes 4 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and woody.
The slender, pointed, crispy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are olive and bronze, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the bine produces several colossal violet flowers.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
All parts of the bine are edible.
