Caramel?

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 59 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thick, knobbly, dark green bark, and inside, the light wood is white.

The small handful of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of large, thick leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are orange-yellow with caramel tips.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of small, hazel blossoms with long, narrow petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like sweat.

In late summer it produces small, long, narrow fruit. The hairy blue skin is thin and inedible, and the soft light brown flesh is salty and sticky. The silver seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
