Copperbell

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 199 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many wide, twisting stems covered in hard, silky, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches trail down towards the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, 3 pointed, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are pastel purple at the bottom and bronze with blue dots at the top, resilient and smooth.

In early spring it produces thousands of medium-sized, green flowers with long, narrow petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like lavender.
