Blueberry Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 44 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, angular trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, dark gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow.

The abundance of branches are long and thick and are covered with thick bunches of small, pleated leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in sky blue and amber varieties.

In early spring, it produces many medium-sized, orange blossoms with pleated petals. They are hardy and have a soft scent that smells like onion.

In early autumn it produces , perforated fruit. The clammy dull blue skin is thin and bitter and sour, and the very soft light brown flesh is bland and sticky. The white seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It can absorb up to 18 times its own weight in water.
