Celestial Flare Agave

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 163 feet (49.7 meters) tall. The wide stem is blue or orange, and is covered in dozens of rigid lime spines. The stumpy leaves are a shade of black that gradient shifts to caramel at the top. Large amounts of them grow on stocky, black branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are delicate, and easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 22 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of silver and purple, with an aquamarine central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a star with 32 raised, round-tipped petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like paint.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the peach flesh is sticky, and the slate sap is thin.
