Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is very rigid; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.
