Blue Petalucca

This small leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The very thin stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. The tattered-edged, perforated leaves are generally vivid blue. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are delicate, and detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 21 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either peach or violet, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 53 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like pineapple.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the olive flesh is rubbery, and the lilac sap is thin.
