Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In bogs, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is overwhelmingly resilient; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
