Climbing Carambola

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 11 feet (3.4 meters) and growing as high as 95 feet (29.0 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 2 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and woody.

The very thick, fuzzy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are either peach, or lilac with bold purple streaks, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces balls of average caramel flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny berries.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
