Coppercoil

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its brown stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 5 and are thin and straight, and split into several branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the large, emerald leaves are very thick with irregular edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 36 cm (14.2 inches) wide, with petals that are generally copper; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 17 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like fish, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to insects.

It is suitable for making strong rope
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
