Aquamelon Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 32 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in thick, smooth, dark gray bark, and inside, the very dense wood is burgundy.

The small bunches of branches are very short and thin and are covered with copious amounts of small, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue on the sides and cyan at the center.

In early spring, it produces many medium-sized, magenta blossoms with wide petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like glue.

In early autumn it produces tiny, stiff, pointed fruit. The waxy amber skin is tough and inedible, and the slightly crunchy sky blue flesh is spicy and sticky. The red seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
