Bloodberry Pine

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 134 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several flexible, straight stems covered in wrinkled, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, needle-like, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are lime and blood red, flimsy and smooth.

It produces bunches of small, sky blue flowers with needle-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a faint scent that smells like coffee. In early winter it forms medium-sizedpink berries.
