Caramel Spine Caudex

This massive caudiciform grows up to 120 feet (36.6 meters) tall. The very thin stem is emerald, and is dotted with small dark orange spines. It has a wonky, stumpy, caramel trunk atop a bulbous web of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are wide and gray-green and are long and thick.

The smooth-edged, 8 pointed leaves are gray with caramel tips. They are sturdy, and take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 17 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are green on the underside and slate on the top grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 32 tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like rotten meat.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the grey flesh is rough, and the peach sap is thin.
