Magenta

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 22 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several flexible, straight stems covered in fine, rough, light gray bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches trail down towards the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of giant, very thin, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either beige, or magenta with cream patches, frail and waxy.

In mid-summer it produces several large, brilliant blue flowers with needle-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like pineapple.
