Bluebell Bush
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 31 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has several flexible, wonky stems covered in silky, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.
The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, 7 pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of blue or deep blue that gradient shifts to bronze at the top, hardy and rough.
In early spring it produces bunches of large, cyan flowers with sickle shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like soap.
The grains are bitter, but very healthy and can be used to make numerous baked goods.
