Crimsonleaf

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 64 feet (19.5 meters) tall. The thick stem is pink-red, and is covered in thousands of fine, blood red, hair-like spines. The lumpy leaves are gold and green. Large amounts of them grow on thick, gnarled, pink-red branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are resilient, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 30 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are bronze in the center, subtle purple in the middle and vivid blue at the edges grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like petrol.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the white flesh is rough, and the lime sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
