Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On rotten logs, and In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
