Crimson Leaf Succulent

This large leaf succulent grows up to 78 feet (23.8 meters) tall. The tapering stem is pink-red, and is covered in hundreds of rigid washed-out blue spines. The smooth-edged, very thin leaves are blood red at the bottom and amber with turquoise patches at the top. Handfuls of them grow from the base in tight-packed layers. The leaves are durable, and detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are slate in the center, azure in the middle and olive at the edges grows at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a weak scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the olive flesh is rubbery, and the yellow sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.
