Bluevine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in fine, silky, light brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with very large amounts of giant, wispy leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid green with blue lines.

In early spring, it produces thousands of medium-sized, cream blossoms with many layers of petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like fermented fruit.

In early winter it produces , 3 pointed fruit. The sticky light brown skin is delicate and edible when roasted; it is extremely savoury, and the very soft amber flesh is extremely savoury and oily. The crimson seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

The grains are bitter, but very healthy and very sour.
It can flourish even in standing water.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
