Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In moorlands, and In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
