Silver Splitstem
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized cactus grows up to 63 feet (19.2 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 5 asymmetrical stems. Each stem is silver, and is dotted with small black spines.
It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid cyan petals and a gentle red central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 35 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like bonfire smoke.
The cactus's skin is thin, the bronze flesh is rough, and the beige sap is thin.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
