Bronzeberry
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This large fruit tree grows up to 29 feet (8.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 25 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a slender, wonky trunk covered in rough, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the very light wood is yellow-brown.
The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with small bunches of giant, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are white on the edges and grey at the center.
In early spring, it produces a handful of giant, bronze blossoms with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.
In mid-summer it produces large, finger-like fruit. The fuzzy bronze skin is delicate and sweet and spicy, and the very soft purple flesh is sweet and very dry. The subtle orange seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
