Flower type: Biennial (Grows the first year, flowers the second year, then dies)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 8 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the small, red leaves are very thick with irregular edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Dozens of giant flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with turquoise petals and a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 petals. They detach easily.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like mango, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
